Professional Touch Screens

Professional touch screens, including those made from thick glass, are used to make a display behind the touch screen touch-sensitive ("touch-enabled").

Current touch screen technologies allow them to function reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments. Certain types of touch screens offer dependable interaction even when using very thick gloves, in humid conditions, under direct sunlight, or in the rain.

Zytronic® Touch-Screens

Zytronic® touch screens are an advanced solution based on projected capacitive technology (PCT/MPCT) and are designed to deliver exceptional performance in challenging environments.

Capacitive Touch-screens (PCAP)

Based on capacitive technology, these touch screens (PCAP = Projected Capacitive or also CTP = Capacitive Touch Panel) use a capacitive cell sensor that can detect up to 10 simultaneous touches.

Resistive Touch Screens (RTP)

A consolidated, reliable, and straightforward technology suitable for specific requirements. The pressure of an object, not necessarily a finger, makes contact between two conductive layers within the panel, detecting the pressure and determining the coordinates of the touch point.

Touch Sensors to Transform a Glass Panel into a Touch Screen

Advanced devices used to transform a glass panel (protection glass, potentially vandal-resistant) into a full or zoned touch interface. They convert any glass, even of significant thickness, into a touch-sensitive surface.

Coupling ("Bonding") Display + Glass/Touch (OCR, OCA, Air/Tape)

The coupling (bonding) between the display and the touch screen is a complex process that depends on the choice of bonding method. There are typically three main bonding methods: OCR, OCA, and AIR/Tape.
