Information on the processing of personal data
of users who consult the websites of the Garante for the protection of personal data pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter “Regulation”), this page describes the methods of processing the personal data of users who consult the website www.cjb.it. The information is provided only for the website www.cjb.it and not for other websites that may be consulted by the user via links.

The Personal Data collected by the Site are as follows:

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures responsible for the correct functioning of the Site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the navigation of websites. This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals; however, by its very nature, it could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. These include the IP addresses or computer names used by users who connect to the Site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT platform. The above data is used solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct functioning. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical IT crimes against the Site.

Data provided by the user

The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of messages to the company’s contact addresses, as well as the completion and submission of forms on the site, involve the acquisition of the sender’s contact data, necessary to respond, as well as all personal data included in the communications.

Specific information will be published on the pages of the site set up for the provision of certain services.

Purposes and legal basis of data processing

The personal data provided will be processed, in compliance with the conditions of lawfulness pursuant to art. 6 of EU Regulation 2016/679, for the following purposes:

  • completion of data collection forms to receive newsletters or promotional communications in general via email – consent (art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a) as the legal basis for processing.

Any recipients and any categories of recipients of personal data

The personal data provided will be communicated to recipients, who will process the data as data processors, pursuant to art. 28 of the Regulation and/or as individuals acting under the authority of the Data Controller, for the purposes listed above in point 3. Specifically, the data will be communicated to:

  • subjects providing services for the management of the IT system and communication networks, including email, newsletters, and website management;
  • competent authorities for compliance with legal obligations and/or provisions of public bodies, upon request.

The collected personal data is also processed by the company’s personnel, who act based on specific instructions provided regarding the purposes and methods of the same processing.

Period of retention of personal data or criteria for determining the period

In compliance with the provisions of art. 5 paragraph 1 letter e) of EU Regulation 2016/679, the personal data collected will be stored in a form that allows the identification of the data subjects for a period not exceeding the achievement of the purposes for which the personal data are processed. The retention of the provided personal data depends on the purpose of processing:

  • receiving newsletters or promotional communications in general via email (maximum 240 months).

Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right to obtain, in the cases provided for, access to personal data and the rectification or deletion of the same or the limitation of processing concerning them or to object to processing (articles 15 et seq. of the Regulation).

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial appeal, the data subject who believes that the processing of data concerning them violates the GDPR has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State where they habitually reside, work, or where the alleged violation occurred (art. 77).
