Hardware and Electronics Design

We design all our electronics in-house, ensuring confidentiality and control. Productions are made in Italy. We make custom control boards, based on ARM (NXP) or ESP32 or STM32 for a wide variety of applications. We make custom I/O expansion boards, including CANbus, ModBus, ETN, EtherCAT, VMEbus interfaces.

Software and Firmware Design

We design integrated hardware/software solutions, covering both industrial aspects (protocols and firmware) and user interfaces and Human-Machine Interaction. All software development takes place in-house at CJB to ensure reliability and confidentiality for our customers: in fact, we have a “full-stack” software engineering department capable of working on firmware, kernels, drivers, custom applications, and cloud connectivity.

Mechanical Engineering

We also supply complete systems from a mechanical point of view. We design custom chassis for fanless applications and support structures such as screen frames, touch, ventilation ducts, and industrial arm brackets.

3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping

We have an in-house 3D-printing line and collaborate with external suppliers for high volume runs or complex objects. We design and integrate 3D printed parts into prototypes and serial products, reducing time and cost so that rapid changes can be made. We also make 3D-printed tools to facilitate assembly in mass production runs.

Simulation in Climatic Chamber

We have a professional hot-cold climatic chamber with humidity control, where we test products under extreme environmental conditions, certifying their reliability and stability. This process identifies and resolves critical issues before production or studies the behaviour of a finished product before delivery to the customer. It also helps in identifying reported failures by replicating the exact operating conditions under which the failure occurred.

Clean-Room Assembly

We have a laminar flow machine to create particulate-free assembly areas, an essential requirement for assembling components such as touch screens, LCDs, or transparent laminates. This process dramatically reduces the dust that settles inside the chassis before it is closed and allows us to achieve touch/display coupling (“bonding”) in a very short time.
